島田市の伝統行事「髷（まげ）祭り」
島田市で毎年行われている「髷祭り」は、
島田ならではの歴史と日本の髪文化を感じられるお祭りです。
昔から島田は旅人が行き交う宿場町として栄え、
その中で生まれた「島田髷」は、日本を代表する髪型のひとつになりました。
髷祭り当日は、島田髷を結った女性たちが着物姿で街を歩き、
まるで昔の島田にタイムスリップしたような風景が広がります。
日本の伝統や髪の美しさを、身近に感じられる
あたたかくて特別なお祭りです。

今年の髷祭りに出演してくださるモデルさんを募集しています。
「日本髪を結ってみたい」
「お祭りに参加してみたい」
「島田の伝統を体験してみたい」
そんな気持ちがあれば大歓迎です🌸
募集内容
• 年齢：小学生〜35歳くらいまで
• 髪型：黒髪ロングの方（日本髪が結える長さ）
• 経験：日本髪が初めての方もOK
当日は、美容師が丁寧に島田髷を結い上げますので、
初めての方でも安心してご参加いただけます。
普段なかなか体験できない日本髪や着物姿は、
きっと一生の思い出になります。

Shimada Mage Festival
The Shimada Mage Festival is a traditional cultural event held every year in Shimada City.
Shimada is known as the birthplace of Shimada Mage, a classic Japanese hairstyle that dates back to the Edo period.
During the festival, participants wear beautiful kimono and traditional Japanese hairstyles, walking through the town and bringing history to life.
It is a special opportunity to experience Japanese culture, beauty, and craftsmanship up close.

We Are Looking for Mage Festival Models
We are currently looking for models to participate in the Shimada Mage Festival.
If you are interested in Japanese culture, traditional hairstyles, or creating a unique memory, we would love to hear from you.
Requirements
• Age: From elementary school age up to around 35 years old
• Hair: Long, natural black hair (suitable for traditional Japanese hairstyling)
• Experience: No experience required
Our professional hairstylists will carefully create the traditional Shimada Mage hairstyle for you.
First-time participants are very welcome.
About Communication
Please note that we do not have English-speaking staff.
Communication will be done using a translation app, but we will do our best to make you feel comfortable and supported.
This is a rare chance to experience authentic Japanese tradition and wear a beautiful kimono and hairstyle.
